The presentation of my first book at the Anglo American Bookstore, a stone's throw from the Spanish Steps, proved to be an opportunity to connect with friends and former colleagues of the international community in Rome. Strikes and protests in the centre of Rome didn't deter guests, who managed to get there on foot, by taxi or via the Metro station at Piazza di Spagna. A lot of fun and interaction was enjoyed by all and the evening closed with snacks and Prosecco. The Rome weather was mild and sunny - such a lovely setting for my special day.
